Roadside bomb kills 2 civilians in Helmand

LASHKARGAH -- An explosion in Helmand Province has killed at least two civilians, Pajhwok Afghan News reported Wednesday (January 3).

The explosion occurred when a car drove over a roadside bomb in Washir District, said Omar Zwak, spokesperson for the provincial governor.

No group claimed responsibility, but the attack bore the hallmarks of the Taliban.
