Security forces arrest ISIS logistics chief in Nangarhar

NANGARHAR -- Operatives from Afghanistan's National Directorate of Intelligence (NDS) have arrested a key member of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) terrorist group in Nangarhar Province, Khaama Press reported Tuesday (February 13).

The suspect, who was identified as Zabiullah, was arrested in Jalalabad, said the provincial governor's office in a statement.

Zabiullah was in charge of providing logistical support to ISIS in Kunar and Nangarhar provinces, according to the statement.

He confessed to transporting weapons from Nangarhar to Kunar during the past year, it added.
