NANGARHAR -- A roadside bomb wounded a member of Nangarhar's provincial council and killed one of his bodyguards early Tuesday (May 1), TOLOnews reported.
An explosion hit Eftikhar Mohmand's vehicle when it ran over a land mine in Kama District, said Ataullah Khogyani, a spokesperson for the provincial governor.
"One of his bodyguards was killed ... and another was wounded," Khogyani said.
No group immediately claimed responsibility.
