NANGARHAR -- A coalition air strike killed five members of "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) in Nangarhar Province, the provincial government press office said in a statement Wednesday (April 3).
The strike hit the militants Tuesday (April 2) night in Achin District, according to the statement.
A local ISIS commander, identified as Sulaiman, was among those killed, it said.
The strike destroyed weapons and ammunition belonging to the militants, the press office said. No civilians were harmed.
