BAGHLAN -- The Taliban abducted and killed a member of the Samangan provincial council and three other Samangan tribal elders, TOLOnews reported Tuesday (August 27).
Militants abducted the individuals last week in Baghlan Province, TOLOnews said, citing Munir Ahmad, a spokesman for the Baghlan police.
Baghlan authorities found the body of Syed Abdul Halim Sadat, the council member, August 22 in the Chashma-e-Shir area and discovered the bodies of the tribal leaders Tuesday, also in Baghlan Province, the police spokesman said.
The Taliban did not immediately comment.
