KABUL -- Stalled peace talks between the Gulbuddin Hekmatyar-led Hezb-i-Islami Afghanistan (HI) and the Afghan government will resume soon, a source in HI said August 4, according to Pajhwok Afghan News.
The two sides earlier had talked for about two months, but Hekmatyar withdrew and asked for revisions to a draft agreement that they had signed.
An HI delegation is going to Kabul to re-launch talks, the HI source said, expressing hope that the visit will bridge the sides' differences.
