KABUL -- Th leader of the Hezb-e-Islami Afghanistan (HIA) party, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, was reportedly hospitalised in Turkey, a Turkish newspaper claimed, TOLO News reported Monday (February 13).
Hekmatyar is being treated at an Istanbul hospital, the Turkish newspaper Aydinlik reported, quoting a Turkish intelligence source.
Hekmatyar's name was recently removed from a United Nations Security Council restrictions list following HIA's peace agreement with the Afghan government.
