KABUL -- At least 22 militants and six Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed in a 24-hour span in nationwide fighting, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said, according to an August 25 Afghanistan Times report.
The troops seized a large cache of weapons and ammunition, the MoD said.
Meanwhile, coalition air strikes August 25 killed a "large number of Taliban" in Helmand Province, Pajhwok Afghan News reported August 26, quoting officials.
