KABUL -- About 500 Afghan refugee families return to their country daily, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said August 27, according to Dawn.
Every returning refugee receives US $400 (27,484 AFN) of financial assistance, a UNHCR spokesperson said.
The majority of returning Afghan refugees have been living in Pakistan, but after Germany and Afghanistan recently reached an agreement, about 50 Afghans will be returning from Germany every week, Afghanistan.ru reported.
