KABUL -- A Kabul court Monday (January 9) sentenced Gen. Wase Rauofi, a former deputy interior minister, to 14 years in prison for accepting a bribe, TOLO News reported.
Rauofi was convicted of accepting a 10.1 million AFN (US $150,000) bribe to award a fuel contract to a private firm, prosecutor Mujib Rahman said.
Rauofi became the fourth defendant whom the Afghan Anti-Corruption Criminal Justice Centre court has sent to prison since November.
