Attacks on Afghan judiciary kill 89 since 2015: UN

KABUL -- Terrorist attacks have killed 89 Afghan judicial staffers since 2015, the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said Wednesday (February 8), Pajhwok Afghan News reported.

The latest addition to that death toll came Tuesday (February 7) when a suicide bomber killed at least 20 people at the Afghan Supreme Court .

Terrorists have attacked the judiciary 74 times since 2015, UNAMA said, citing judges, prosecutors and staff members among the dead.

The "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the Supreme Court bombing, TOLO News reported.
