JALALABAD -- Security forces killed at least 38 militants of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) during ongoing 'Shaheen-25' military operations in Nangarhar province, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said Wednesday (February 15), Khaama Press reported.
The operation was launched last week against ISIL in the province.
The recent killings were reported in Haska Mina and Kot districts in the past 24 hours, the MoI said.
Separately, a senior key recruiter of ISIL, was arrested with 11 other militants during an operation in Jalalabad city, the Nangarhar provincial police command said in a statement, Khaama Press reported Thursday (February 16).
