KABUL -- Afghan authorities foiled terrorist plots in Sar-i-Pul and Laghman provinces, Khaama Press reported Tuesday (February 21).
In Sar-i-Pul, a would-be suicide bomber on a motorcycle was caught 15 metres short of his intended target, provincial governor Mohammad Zahir Wahdat, said officials.
Wahdat's bodyguards handed over the suspect to intelligence operatives, said Wahdat.
In Mehtarlam, Laghman Province, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) arrested two Taliban members seeking to carry out attacks and targeted killings, said the NDS.
