KHOST, Afghanistan -- Three militants and an Afghan soldier were killed at a military base in Khost Province Friday (March 17), TOLO News reported.
A would-be suicide bomber driving a bomb-laden vehicle was trying to target an army base, but security forces killed him before he reached his destination, Afghan National Army (ANA) spokesman Fazal Khuda confirmed, according to Khaama Press. The gunfire caused the car bomb to explode.
Three militants and a soldier were killed in the clash, said Khuda.
