23 held in connection with Kabul hospital attack

KABUL -- Authorities are holding 23 suspects in connection with the March 8 attack on the Sardar Daud Khan military hospital in Kabul, top security officials told the lower chamber of parliament Monday (March 27), according to media.

Officials testifying included Defence Minister Abdullah Habibi.

The culprits behind the massacre will soon be revealed, said National Directorate of Security (NDS) chief Masoom Stanekzai, according to Khaama Press.

The suspects are being held in connection with various charges, including negligence.

The number of casualties from the attack has been disputed, but at least 50 people reportedly died.
