KABUL -- A Kabul anti-corruption court handed down prison sentences of 7 to 20 years to four officials convicted of fraud Sunday (March 26), TOLO News reported.
The four defendants committed embezzlement affecting the construction of a housing project in Kabul, said prosecutors, adding that their crime forced a reduction of 700 million AFN ($10.5 million) to the budget for building the project.
The four may appeal the verdict.
