TAKHAR, Afghanistan -- Afghan troops drove back a Taliban attack on Durqad District, Takhar Province, killing at least 10 insurgents, officials said Sunday (April 2).
Militants struck from various directions Saturday (April 1) but encountered a fierce response, TOLO News reported, quoting Spin Ghar Zone police.
The fighting ended early Sunday, according to Afghanistan Times.
