Taliban execute 6, including a child, women

KABUL -- Taliban militants reportedly killed six civilians, including a couple and three other women, charging them of adultery and co-operation with government in Logar and Sar-e-Pul provinces respectively, media reported.

The couple was publicly stoned to death in Mohammad Agha District of Logar province Sunday (April 16), governor's spokesman Salim Saleh told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The man and woman were tried and convicted in a Taliban court before execution, Saleh said.

Taliban militants also gunned down a child and three women in Sayad District of Sar-e-Pul province Sunday night for alleged co-operation with the government, governor's spokesman Zabiullah Amani confirmed, according to Khaama Press.
