KABUL -- Fighting between two rival militant groups killed 28 in Nangarhar Province, said local officials Tuesday (May 2).
A battle broke out between the Taliban and the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) in Charparhar District Sunday (April 30), said the provincial government, according to TOLO News and Khaama Press.
The dead included 21 Taliban, 7 ISIS members and a civilian, said governor's spokesman Ataullah Khogyani.
