NANGARHAR -- At least 27 militants of "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) and 11 Taliban insurgents were killed during security operations and internecine combat in Nangarhar Province, Khaama Press reported Tuesday (June 13).
Air strikes and ground operations by troops killed seven Taliban militants in Chaparhar District in a 24-hour span, according to local officials.
Twenty-seven ISIS and four Taliban militants were killed in combat between the rival groups in three separate areas, said officials.
