KANDAHAR -- Pakistani and Afghan military officers stationed at the Chaman border crossing agreed to observe a cease-fire until the two sides resolve a dispute concerning some border villages, Pajhwok Afghan News reported Thursday (June 22).

The consensus came during an iftar dinner hosted by Afghan Border Police (ABP) in honour of their Pakistani counterparts.

The two sides agreed to resolve all border-related issues through dialogue, said Col. Mohammad Sharif Ghazi, Afghan border police commander in Spin Boldak.
