KABUL -- A three-day-long nationwide polio immunisation campaign began Monday (August 14) in Afghanistan, the Afghanistan Times reported.
It is the third round of the National Immunisation Days (NIDs) to take place in 2017. This round is meant to vaccinate about 10 million children under age five, according to the Ministry of Public Health.
Four sets of NIDs are scheduled for this year.
