BADAKHSHAN -- Afghan troops drove the Taliban out of Tagab District, Badakhshan Province, after a week-long operation, said security officials, TOLO News reported Wednesday (August 16).
Taliban militants took heavy casualties, said army officer Mir Abdul Wahid.
Troops took back military vehicles that the militants had seized, he added.
