KANDAHAR -- Afghan troops plan to launch an operation with coalition forces to battle militants in Kandahar and Helmand provinces, TOLO News reported Sunday (September 3).
The troops plan to evict militants from four districts in the two provinces, Kandahar provincial police chief Abdul Raziq said Sunday.
The operation will be lengthy but successful, he predicted.
