KABUL -- President Ashraf Ghani fired Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Minister Assadullah Zamir and appointed Nasir Ahmad Durani acting minister Thursday (September 21), reported TOLO News.
Ghani also nominated Muiburrahman Karimi acting minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, according to the presidential palace.
The reason for Zamir's firing was not reported. Durani is expected to face a vote of confidence in parliament.
