KABUL -- Insecurity in Afghanistan has forced 1,006 schools to shut their doors, the Education Ministry said Tuesday (September 26), according to Afghanistan Times.
The 1,006 schools are situated in 24 provinces, including Kabul. The provinces with the most closed schools are Kandahar and Zabul, with 154 each, according to the Education Ministry.
