JAWZJAN -- At least five Taliban militants were killed and four others wounded in a clash Wednesday night with Afghan forces in Jawzjan province, TOLOnews reported Thursday (October 12), citing local officials.
The four-hour clash took place in the province's northern Faizabad district when the Taliban attacked police checkpoints, said Gen. Faqir Mohammad Jawzjani, the provincial police chief.
Three security personnel were also wounded in the clash, said Jawzjani.
