KABUL -- Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said Sunday (November 12) that the nation's security forces will adopt an offensive approach next year in the ongoing war, Khaama Press reported Monday (November 13).
Ghani made his remarks before a gathering of government prosecutors.
Afghan forces have no choice but to defend the country, he said.
Separately, Gen. John Nicholson, the commander of NATO's Resolute Support Mission Afghanistan, said in a statement November 11 that an increase in the number of international troops in Afghanistan and a new NATO strategy will help Afghan forces to better secure their country.
