HELMAND -- A Taliban would-be suicide bomber surrendered to Afghan security forces in Helmand Province, Khaama Press reported Tuesday (February 6).
The trained bomber was ordered to carry out a suicide attack in Lashkargah, the provincial government press office said in a statement.
He refused and turned himself in to police, the statement said.
Separately, on Monday (February 5), Afghan security forces killed a potential suicide bomber before he could detonate a car bomb in Marjah District, Helmand Province.
