KABUL -- The Afghan National Security Council Thursday (November 15) ordered the nation's forces to step up offensive operations against militants, according to a statement.
"The National Security Council has asked relevant agencies to increase aggressive attacks against the enemy throughout the country in order to protect the lives of the people and reduce the casualties of the country's security and defence forces," said the statement.
The announcement comes after Taliban militants launched attacks in the Jaghori and Malistan districts in Ghazni Province more than a week ago.
