KABUL -- Afghan police found two roadside bombs in Dara-e-Sof District, Samangan Province, the Interior Ministry said in a statement Monday (December 10).
"The timely discovery of the explosives has foiled a terror attack and saved the city from ... tragedy," the statement added, without specifying the city.
Separately, police in Kabul foiled a potential rocket attack on the city, the provincial police said in a statement Sunday (December 9).
The police discovered and an engineering team from the National Directorate of Security defused one BM1 rocket Sunday that was placed in the city's police district no. 7 and was ready for launch, according to the statement.
