KUNDUZ -- Afghan special forces discovered and destroyed a weapon depot and a prison belonging to Taliban militants in Kunduz Province, the 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Tuesday (April 9).
The operation took place Monday night (April 8) in police district No. 4 in Kunduz city, according to the statement.
Troops destroyed weapons including triggers for suicide vests, it added.
