GHOR -- Afghan forces rescued at least nine captives from a Taliban prison in Ghor Province, the Special Operations Corps said in a statement on Tuesday (June 4).
The operation took place on Monday (June 3) night in Surkh Belaagh village of Pasaband District, according to the statement. Two police officers and seven civilians were among those freed.
Troops also seized eight motorcycles, nine roadside bombs and 11 rockets during the operation.
The Taliban did not immediately comment.
