KUNDUZ -- Afghan troops captured 12 Taliban militants and cleared a section of the Kunduz-to-Khanabad highway, officials said Tuesday (May 9), according to TOLO News.
The troops thwarted the insurgents, who were riding a vehicle on the highway, from joining other Taliban elsewhere, said police.
Troops cleared three check-points in Kunduz Province and were advancing on a fourth, added police.
