Security forces arrest 11 Chechens in Logar

LOGAR -- Afghan security forces have arrested at least 11 Chechen nationals, including women and children, in Logar Province, TOLOnews reported Thursday (November 30).

The Chechens were arrested in Azra District Wednesday (November 29), said the governor of Logar in a statement.

Troops seized two rockets, two Kalashnikovs, a motorbike and a vehicle from the foreigners, according to the statement.

Those detained came from the Khogyani and Hesarak districts of neighbouring Nangarhar Province, where the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) has been active, the statement said.

No other details were given.
