KABUL -- A special forces unit of Afghanistan's National Directorate of Security (NDS) has killed at least 50 Taliban militants in an operation in Kandahar Province, TOLOnews reported Friday (February 2).
The air and ground operations took place in the Osmankhail, Mohammadkhail, Chawlawk and Akhtarkhail villages of Maiwand District, the national intelligence agency said in a statement Thursday (February 1).
Another 32 militants were arrested, the statement said.
The forces destroyed a bomb-making centre containing 30 bombs, said the statement.
