Afghan forces kill 28 militants including Taliban judge

KABUL -- At least 28 militants including a Taliban shadow judge were killed during security operations in three Afghan provinces recently.

Four militants including a Taliban-designated judge were killed in a recent shoot-out with trips in Ab Band District, Ghazni Province, provincial police chief Brig. Gen. Aminullah Amarkhil told Pajhwok Afghan News July 12.

Security forces July 11 killed about 10 militants in a battle that erupted after the Taliban attacked a police outpost in Farah Province, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a July 12 statement, according to TOLO News.

A commander and 13 terrorists belonging to the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) were killed recently during a military operation in Kot District, Nangarhar Province, defence sources said, Khaama Press reported July 12.
