KABUL -- More than 300 pilots and other personnel of the Afghan air force (AAF) are receiving training abroad, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said, Khaama Press reported August 18.
The personnel are sharpening their skills in countries like Italy, the Czech Republic and United Arab Emirates, according to MoD spokesman Gen. Dawlat Waziri.
The training is part of international efforts to boost Afghan forces' ability to fight terrorism.
The AAF plays a key role in suppressing militancy, Waziri said.
