KABUL -- Afghan security forces recently killed 26 Taliban, including a commander, in Helmand Province, provincial governor's spokesman Omar Zwak told Pajhwok Afghan News Thursday (December 8).
Troops killed the militants in two districts over the past few days, Zwak said, adding that they defused many land mines and seized about 300kg of opium.
Meanwhile, forces recently disabled two rockets in Mir Bacha Kot District, Kabul Province, that militants meant to fire at Kabul city, the Ministry of Interior said, according to a Friday (December 9) report by Khaama Press. Authorities made no arrests.
