NANGARHAR, Afghanistan -- Security forces on Sunday (December 18) killed five militants in a battle in Surkh Rod District, Nangarhar Province, TOLO News reported.
The battle broke out after the Taliban attacked a police check-point, provincial police chief Sayed Gul Aqa Rohani said.
The forces returned fire and killed five Taliban without suffering any casualties, he said.
