KABUL -- Militant attacks in November in Afghanistan inflicted significantly fewer casualties than in October, Pajhwok Afghan News reported Sunday (December 18).
In November, 127 militant attacks nationwide inflicted 1,359 casualties, representing respective decreases of 34% in the number of attacks and 59% in the number of casualties, Pajhwok Afghan News reported.
Relentless pressure by government forces and cold weather hampered the militants, Defence Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Dawlat Waziri told Pajhwok Afghan News.
