ZABUL, Afghanistan -- A Pakistani militant leader recently survived an insider attack in Zabul Province, Afghanistan, Khaama Press reported Sunday (December 25).
Yousaf Mansoor Khurasani, leader of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Al-Alami, came under fire from one of his own followers, group spokesman Ali Bin Sufyan said.
Khurasani's bodyguards killed the gunman, Khaama Press reported.
The group is blamed for several deadly terrorist acts in Pakistan, including a three-man gun-and-bomb attack at a Quetta police academy in October.
