JALALABAD, Afghanistan -- Troops killed 47 militants in Kandahar and Nangarhar provinces over the past two days, officials said.
Troops killed 30 Taliban members in Nesh District, Kandahar Province, Wednesday (March 15), an Afghan National Army (ANA) corps said in a statement, according to TOLO News.
Coalition air strikes Tuesday (March 14) in Achin District, Nangarhar Province, killed 17 "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) members, confirmed the provincial police, according to Khaama Press.
