TALOQAN -- A mortar shell reportedly fired by the Taliban killed five Afghans in Khwaja Bahauddin District, Takhar Province, police said Thursday (March 30), according to Pajhwok Afghan News.
Militants fired mortars at a police check-post in the district, police official Mahfuzullah Akbari told Pajhwok Afghan News, adding that one shell hit a house.
The dead included women and children from the same family, he added.
