JALALABAD -- Troops killed at least 18 fighters of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) in Nangarhar Province, Khaama Press reported Friday (April 7).
The forces killed 15 ISIL militants in Achin District and three in Ghani Khel District, said the provincial government press office in a Thursday (April 6) statement.
The militant death toll in Achin District reached 30 in the past three days, according to the statement.
Troops also destroyed 700 hectares of poppies, added the statement.
