KABUL -- Twenty-six "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) operatives and a Taliban shadow governor were among dozens of militants killed throughout Afghanistan, said officials.
Air and ground operations in 15 provinces in a 24-hour span killed 63 militants, including 26 ISIS members, said the Ministry of Defence (MoD) Sunday (June 4), according to Afghanistan Times.
An Afghan air force strike Sunday killed the Taliban shadow governor of Kapisa Province and 10 other insurgents, said provincial police, according to TOLO News.
