JALALABAD -- At least 11 militants from the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) were killed in combat with troops in Nangarhar Province, Khaama Press reported Monday (June 19).
The fighting took place in a 24-hour span, said the Afghan National Army in a statement, adding that two foreign fighters were killed.
Troops Sunday (June 18) killed six Taliban insurgents after they attacked a police post in Khwaja Ghar District, Takhar Province, said the Ministry of Interior Monday, according to TOLO News.
