KABUL -- Violence in Helmand and Herat provinces left seven police officers dead, media reported Tuesday (June 20).
Four policemen were killed in Helmand Province Tuesday on the Lashkargah-to-Kandahar highway when their vehicle hit a land mine, according to the provincial government press office.
Local officials gave the death toll as six, reported TOLO News.
Three border police officers were gunned down by a group of Taliban fighters in Gulran District, Herat Province, Monday (June 19), Pajhwok Afghan News reported, quoting the provincial government.
