KABUL -- The Afghan National Directorate of Security (NDS) rescued a Kabul man who was kidnapped 15 days ago and arrested the abductors' suspected ringleader, Khaama Press reported Thursday (July 27).

The suspect, Mohibullah, led a gang of 15 members, said the NDS.

Afghan forces rescued two kidnapped Pakistani diplomats, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said in a statement Wednesday (July 26), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) reported.

The diplomats disappeared while travelling from Jalalabad to Torkham on June 16 but Afghan forces rescued them in an operation, according to RFE/RL.

The Afghans handed over the two Jalalabad-based diplomats to their embassy in Kabul, said the Pakistani Foreign Ministry.
