Vehicle scanners installed at entry points into Kabul

KABUL -- Authorities have installed scanners to boost security at entry points in Kabul for trucks and other vehicles, security officials said Sunday (August 6), according to TOLO News.

Workers installed the scanners at Puli-e-Charkhi, Sang-e-Nabishta, Arghandi and Sar-e-Kotal. They have plans to install four more at Dast Pechari, Gul Bagh, Bot Khak and Tangi Tarakhil, said Kabul police.

Police already scan almost 1,000 trucks daily at Arghandi, which connects the capital to four provinces, said Kabul police.
